If you've been waiting for a mobile port of the latest Call of Duty series, the good news is that Warzone Mobile is out today! What's in store for this port of Activision's most popular licence? Will PC and console gamers have to start their progression all over again? We take a look at Call of Duty Warzone Mobile on Android and iOS.
If you're a former Modern Warfare 3 or Warzone 2.0 player, you'll be one step ahead of the rest. That's because you'll be able to synchronise your progress with your level, your weapon inventory and your progress through the combat pass. To make sure you don't miss the release of Warzone Mobile, don't forget to pre-register!
Once the game has launched, simply log in to Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile using your Activision ID. If you've never played a game in the Call of Duty series, you can also play with a guest account.
Please note that some items and weapons will not yet be incremented when the release of Warzone Mobile on tablets and smartphones. On the other hand, some items will be exclusive to the mobile version and available in the Season 2 Battle Pass, active until 2 April 2024, such as :
Plan (Black Cell instant reward): "Golden Dragon" (FA, M16)
Rare Emblem: 'Dragon Awakening
Large rare decal: 'Celestial Arrival
Rare calling card: 'Lunar Radiance
Uncommon map: 'Radiance draconique' (BR, SO-14).
Finally, when it comes to getting to grips with the game, you'll be able to use several types of control: fully customisable touch controls, a plug-in controller and a Bluetooth controller. And if you don't yet have a controller for your smartphone, you can get the Backbone One Warzone Mobile with a special skin for the occasion.
As a reminder, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will give you the chance to discover or rediscover the iconic maps of Rebirth Island and Verdansk, which will be directly available at the launch of the mobile port. There will also be multiplayer maps such as Shoot House and Shipment.
The game has over 45 million pre-registrations, which just goes to show how much the community is looking forward to this mobile battle royale.
However, you won't be able to play with console or PC players from Modern Warfare 3 or Warzone 2. In other words, while the progress linked to your player account is cross-platform, this won't be the case for gameplay.
There's also the first community event to celebrate the release of Warzone Mobile: Operation Zero Day. In this event, collect Event Points (EPs) to unlock exclusive individual and community rewards.
