Many of you have been waiting for it, but it's finally here! Tarisland, the new MMORPG from Tencent and Level Infinite, has been available on the Android and iOS stores and on PC since 9am today (UTC+2). From today, you can immerse yourself in a fantasy world, take on big bosses in raids and explore the open world of Tarisland. Some of you are going to have a great weekend!
9 classes, 18 specialisations and 5 different professions in Tarisland
From season 0 of Tarisland, called Mystery of the Hollows, you'll be able to choose your character from 9 different classes:
Warrior
Barbarian fighter
The Bard
The Ranger
Paladin
Phantom Necro
The Priest
The Mage
Shadow swordsman
In addition to these 9 rather varied classes, each character is offered two different specialisation paths. Dual-specialisation classes will also be available from the game's release, but only for Mages and Paladins. For the others, you'll have to wait a little longer.
In Tarisland, you'll be able to create your own personalised build thanks to these specialisations, as well as talent trees that allow you to optimise your skills, controls and equipment to suit the situation. So you can take your time exploring the different possibilities to find the style of play that suits you best.
Of course, in keeping with the codes of the genre, you'll be able to choose from 5 professions in Tarisland: alchemist, blacksmith, tailor, jeweller, craftsman or fisherman (which will probably be the best feature of the game!).
PvP and PvE in Tarisland
As with all MMORPGs, Tarisland will feature numerous PvP events. From the start of the game, you'll have access to 8 10-player raid bosses and 5 dungeons with 3 different difficulty levels.
As for PvE, Tarisland season 0 features several modes: the Arcane Realm, the Universal Hall and the Dark Invasion. PvE focuses on finding treasure by exploring the map, boss fights, mini-games, solving riddles and...an amusement park! There's plenty to keep you busy for hours on end, once you've completed all the dungeons and PvP raids!
Tarisland, a huge cross-platform and cross-save open world
Exploration is obviously at the heart of Tencent and Level Infinite's MMORPG. We already know about the Ancash Canyon, the town of SilverLit and the Misty Forest, and we'll be able to discover additional zones as the seasons change.
The good news is that you'll be able to resume your discovery of the world by switching from mobile to PC without any problems, as the game is cross-platform and cross-save. In other words, you'll be able to resume your progress if you decide to switch from one device to another.
We hope Tarisland lives up to our expectations, and we'll be sure to give it a try. GLHF to all those who are planning to spend their weekend there (or more, if you feel so inclined)! All we can hope for is that the game will be truly F2P, as promised by Tencent...!
