In this recap #200, we take a look at the week's must-have mobile games releases, mobile news and pre-registrations/test phases you won't want to miss.

Sit back and relax as we bring you the week's mobile games news! On the programme: the release of Once Human and Delta Force, the opening of pre-registration for Valorant in China and the Tencent Spark 2025 announcements!

Mobile games releases of the week

This week has been rich in release announcements, with many games now available on the stores:

  • Delta Force: Hawk Ops hits the scene with maximum explosive action on PC, consoles, Play Store and App Store. Free to play in squads, with environment destruction, historical missions and large-scale PvP modes, it's already preparing its esport scene, with the first world championship announced for September 2025!
  • Pandoland is being released worldwide, showing that Game Freak knows how to make something other than Pokémon! In collaboration with WonderPlanet, the studio is offering a colourful mobile MMORPG on Play Store and App Store, where you collect over 500 creatures in a cute universe full of treasures.
  • Once Human Mobile plunges us into a post-apocalyptic open world in survival mode on Play Store and App Store. With crafting, exploration and battles against aberrations, you can even build your own rolling base to roam the entire continent of Nalcott.
  • Arcadium: Space Odyssey offers a space version of Vampire Survivors with zero-gravity shooter gameplay, on Play Store. The retro mix between Space Invaders and Survivors is clearly there, for fans of simple but effective action.

Then there's Darkest Days, a PvE and PvP zombie survival game that lets you blow up hordes of zombies in third person, available on Play Store and App Store. Meanwhile, KEMCO's Metro Quester is an old-school retro dungeon crawler for those nostalgic for green pixels, available for $15 on Play Store and App Store.

And finally, Final Outpost: Definitive Edition is available on Play Store and App Store for fans of post-apo management.

Pre-registration, announcements, updates and test phases

  • Valorant Mobile is finally opening pre-registration in China, after a teaser at the Tencent Spark 2025 conference. Unfortunately for us, no worldwide date has yet been announced for this eagerly-awaited competitive FPS.
  • Paint Brawl: Color of War is the new paint-based shooter from Miniclip, now in soft launch on Play Store and App Store. With 4v4 gameplay reminiscent of Splatoon and characters looted from gacha, you can already try out the game via VPN in Austria, the Philippines or Portugal.
  • Honor of Kings World has stunned us with a new action-packed trailer. In it, we see battles against titanic bosses, weapons changing in the middle of combat and an impressive art direction for this forthcoming mobile release.
  • Sunset Hills is shaping up to be a cuddly, poetic game when it hits Play Store and App Store on 5 June. You take on the role of a little writer dog returning from the war, with a mix of encounters, mysteries and the polished atmosphere of Violet Evergarden.

Then there's Gully Gangs: Street Cricket , which is opening its open beta on Play Store for fans of street cricket, and Dunk City Dynasty, the street basketball game, which is opening its worldwide pre-registration on Play Store and App Store, with a release date scheduled for the end of May.

Might & Magic Fates marks Ubisoft's entry into mobile TCGs with a blockchain option. Web3 will be totally optional, and the game will offer classic free-to-play with a strategic twist set against an NFT backdrop. Cluedo Mobile will soon be available as a F2P game on Play Store and App Store, thanks to Ace Games and the official Hasbro licence.

Tales of Tuscany has been announced as the PC sequel to the delirious Athenian Rhapsody. Puzkin: Magnetic Odyssey launches its Kickstarter to fund a colourful and accessible family MMO. On the programme: creature capture, PvE, PvP and exploration in a sandbox universe.

We end this section with Ragnarok: Back to Glory, which is being released on Play Store and App Store in South-East Asia and Korea, to extend the legacy of the cult licence.

Other news and events from the mobile games industry

There's more from the mobile JV industry this week:

  • Tencent Spark 2025 revealed a flurry of mobile games announcements. These include Honor of Kings World, The Hidden Ones, Rust Mobile, Dungeon & Fighter: Khazan and Star Resonance, plus an anime announced for Honor of Kings!
  • Schedule 1 is making news with a fake mobile version on the App Store. This illegal clone of a PC drug trafficking game was quickly removed, but other fraudulent copies persist on the shop.
  • Sunderfolk innovates by using your phone as a controller for a tactical RPG to be played on the sofa. Released for the PC, this game is inspired by paper-based JdRs and offers a user-friendly experience to share with family and friends.
