While the game has been in beta for more than 3 months, Nuverse has just revealed the Marvel Snap release date, the trading card game in the Marvel superheroic universe from the studio Second Dinner. Let's take a look at what's in store for the next game from Ben Brode, the former Hearthstone lead designer.
Marvel Snap release date
It is through a trailer published on the game's YouTube channel that we learned the Marvel Snap release date, scheduled for October 18, 2022 on Android, iOS and PC. As a reminder, this TCG will feature over 150 Marvel characters, heroes and villains.
According to Ben Brode, the head of development at Second Dinner, Marvel Snap will feature fast-paced battles that last about three minutes and are accessible to everyone. We can therefore expect a gameplay largely less complex than that of Hearthstone, which can be scary for neophytes of the genre.
Although we haven't been able to get our hands on the game yet, we do know that the gameplay incorporates a betting mechanic, and therefore bluffs, which can completely change the outcome of a game. If the title is free-to-play, it will be possible to pay to unlock numerous illustrations for your cards in order to customize your deck and shine with style during your games.
An exclusive card as a pre-registration reward
While waiting for the Marvel Snap release date, you can still pre-register on the game's official website to be informed on the day of release. Pre-registering for Marvel Snap allows you to unlock an exclusive card: Hulk drawn by Max Grecke for Android users, and Iron by Dan Hipp on iOS. Beware though, you'll have to log in during the launch month to get your skill.
