The Joestar family is preparing for its arrival on the mobile phone. We've just learned that JoJo's Bizarre Adventure mobile is being developed by a Japanese studio, which has already announced a potential release date. If you've been a fan of Hirohiko Araki's drawings since Phantom Blood, we tell you all about the forthcoming port in this article.
Announcement of a new JoJo's game, this time on mobile
It comes as something of a surprise to see the announcement of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure mobile come out of the blue this week. And yet there have already been a number of JoJo video games, from the first published by Bandai in 1993 to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R, a fighting game from the same publisher, a remaster of a previous fighting game, and the latest game in the licence, released in 2022.
This is the first time that the different Joestar generations have appeared on a phone!
The adaptation rights obtained by gumi studios Inc are those linked to the Japanese region. So it's not certain that this adaptation will reach us in the West, even though KLab has obtained the international publishing rights.
If you like other big manga or webtoon licences, there are plenty of anime-inspired games in the pipeline or recently released. The list includes Black Clover M, Fairy Tail: Fierce Fight and Tokyo Ghoul: Break the Chains.
All the information on JoJo's Bizarre Adventure mobile: release date, development and gameplay
gumi has just acquired the rights to adapt JoJo's Bizarre Adventure into a mobile game. What's not reassuring for gamers is that the company has turned its attention to NFTs in recent years, and many of us don't see much point in the current use of blockchain in gaming, which essentially serves as a cash grab for suckers.
gumi is responsible, for example, for Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, War of the Visions and Alchemist Code. In the official news published by the team in charge of the Android and iOS title, we learn that :
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure mobile is currently in development;
The target release date is 2025;
gumi intends to draw on all the skills it has acquired in mobile gaming in recent years, which certainly includes blockchain too.
If the press release is to be believed, the developers will be sharing progress on the project with regular news updates. So we don't know much about the gameplay, apart from the potential presence of blockchain and NFT for the release of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure mobile in Japan.
Yaya
Yaya would never have spent a single cent on a mobile game. At least, that's what the legend says.
