We recently told you about the gameplay leaks for the next HoYoverse game. It turns out that the rumours are starting to be confirmed!China's General Administration of Press and Publication has given publication authorisation in China for Astaweave Haven, the official name of what could be the next Animal Crossing-like game from Genshin Impact's studio.
Astaweave Haven authorised in China, trademark registered internationally
China's General Administration of Press and Publication, which controls and intervenes in various cultural sectors including video games and the internet, has given HoYoverse permission to publish a new title in China. This authorisation is a prerequisite for Chinese companies producing cultural or entertainment content, regardless of the distribution channel.
In the document formalising this decision, we can see the name of what could be the life simulator whose gameplay was leaked earlier: Astaweave Haven.
In a tweet and on the Gematsu website, we also learn that the Astaweave Haven trademark has also been registered in Japan, the United States and Europe. It was also registered in China last February. Final proof, if any were needed, that HoYoverse's next title could soon be announced more officially by the studio.
Astaweave Haven could be a Gacha-style Animal Crossing
On 10 June this year, X published a leak of gameplay from HoYoverse's next game, which could well be Astaweave Haven. Since deleted, the publication showed a video lasting around a minute, showing the very first images of the life simulator being prepared by HoYoverse.
These images were accompanied by other information: we learned that it would be a free-to-play multiplayer gacha featuring all the well-known mechanics of the genre, such as crafting, customisation of the universe, relationships between characters, farming, and so on.
There's no doubt that this is Astaweave Haven, one of the possible translations of 'XinBuGuDi (星布谷地)', the registered trademark in China. At the time of the first rumours, there was talk of other translations such as "Star Cuckoo Valley","Star Cloth Valley" or even " Starbud Valley", names that are bound to remind you of one of the pillars of the farm simulator genre...
All we can do now is wait for an official announcement from HoYoverse, and at Mobi.gg we'll be sure to keep you informed!
