Howl

Are you looking for a unique puzzle game to spend a few evenings playing on your phone? With the release of Howl, you've come to the right place. Join me in a fairytale world of living ink, tactical puzzle-style combat and the intriguing story of a young girl facing dark forces.
Howl is out today on mobile, so be one of the first to give it a go and unveil its mysteries. The world of Howl offers a dark and bloody take on the atmosphere of classic fairy tales. Entirely hand-drawn, this charming title puts you in command of a young deaf girl.
Her deafness makes her the ideal heroine here, as the world is ravaged by a disease that turns people into werewolves when they hear a howl. If you can't hear it, you must be immune. The heroine's brother, however, is not deaf. In order to cure him, they have to go on a quest to find the remedy.
You're the only hope for a world in danger (if you've got Code Lyoko in your head too, that makes two of us). Discover 60 different levels, surprising wolves and cute illustrations in the challenge offered by the release of Howl on Android and iOS.
Astragon Entertainment and Mi'pu'mi Games have teamed up to unveil a challenge of increasing difficulty and comprehensive content with the release of Howl on mobile. The heroine you play has a gift of prophecy that allows you to anticipate the movements of your opponents. To defeat them, you can plan up to 6 moves in advance.
The game's artistic direction and unique approach to combat remind me of both Inkulinati and Into the Breach, two excellent games in which strategy is approached as a puzzle to be solved, and which I highly recommend (only Into the Breach is available on mobile via Netflix subscription).

Already available on consoles and PC, the title makes a point of making each decision more vital than the last. You'll need to make progress and think about the consequences of each of your actions if you want to succeed in saving the villagers.
You can try out Howl for free right now, and choose whether or not to unlock the full version for €5 on the stores.
