What is the Zombie mode on CoD mobile?

Call of Duty mobile is a smartphone game that aims to compile everything that players loved about Black Ops and Modern Warfare! And in particular, the Zombie mode of Call of Duty, a classic of the CoD franchise! It was released on Android and iOS on November 25, 2019, to coincide with the release of CoD mobile season 2.
The ultimate goal: fend off the undead with the help of three fellow soldiers and survive the outbreak (how topical is that?). Two game modes are available: Endless Survival mode and Raid mode!

CoD Mobile Zombie's Endless Survival Mode

The Endless Survival mode of CoD mobile Zombie is well known! In this mode, the goal is to survive as many waves as possible. In this Endless Survival mode, you could collect points to buy weapons or open doors. These points are obtained simply by killing zombies and repairing windows. You have to find as many clues as possible in relation to the abandoned lab. Indeed, these clues are important to unlock the story, they are hidden everywhere in the map. Finally, this mode allows you to place in the general ranking, if of course, you survive the zombies 😉

Call of Duty mobile Zombie Raid mode

The Raid mode appeared at the same time as the update and was a new mode. The goal: survive 8 or 12 waves of zombies, then face a final boss. This Raid mode is based on the Shi No Numa map from World at War Zombie. So you won't feel out of place! The point system is the same as in the Endless Survival mode. The only difference is that there are two difficulty levels. There is the normal difficulty with 8 waves of survival, and the hard difficulty with 12 waves. At each last wave, a boss faces you, modestly called the Abomination!

Why has this mode been withdrawn for so long?

Unfortunately for all of us, CoD mobile's Zombie mode was removed from the app on iOS and Android a year ago! In reality, the removal of this mode is not trivial and even less of a surprise. Removed from the game on March 25, 2020, the developers explained their decision:

"We had always said it was time-limited, but with no explicit end date. We wanted to see the reception, see the feedback and see how we could potentially shape the mode for the future. However, the mode just didn't reach the level of quality we wanted. We can bring it back, along with Nacht Der Untoten, once we are assured that it has sufficient qualities, but for now we will focus on developing the Multiplayer, Battle Royale and Classified modes."

In other words, it could return with the first map of the mode in World at War Zombie. The developers have also confirmed the return of the Zombie mode on CoD Mobile. New maps will appear, including Shi No Numa in the Chinese version of the game!

The return of the Zombie mode on Call of Duty Mobile: it's happening now!

On Android and iOS, this return raised questions. The info had already leaked at the end of 2020, but it was only speculations and fans who wanted to see their favourite mode on mobile again. Nothing very concrete!

But today, it's different: Zombie mode on CoD Mobile is back! This information was confirmed by the developers themselves in a community update on Reddit.

TiMi Studios were very clear: the mode will come back when they are sure of its quality! This is apparently the case. The developers wanted to concentrate on the BR and MJ modes. A wise decision, in the end, which speaks volumes about the developers' desire to deliver intuitive and well-defined gameplay to their players.

The developer's community update makes it clear that Zombie Mode will be returning to Call of Duty Mobile, with a brand new gameplay experience for players around the world. The game update includes new challenges, new weapons and even an updated shop.
