Beta Pokémon Unite: test regional phase in Canada

Pokemon Unite Beta

Fans of Pokémon fans and players of MOBA players are following the progress of the Pokémon Unite project with great attention. Oddity for some, stroke of genius for others, everyone has their own opinion on the matter. In any case, the development team is making good progress and a Beta Pokémon Unite will be available in March. Unfortunately, France will not be among the lucky ones as the regional phase of test will be limited to Canada. You will also have to play on Android to have a chance to access the game; iOS users are left out for the moment.

This Beta Pokémon Unite will serve as a crash test test to identify bugs and areas for improvement. Given the complexity of the project, it is likely that other phases of test will take place at a later date and the other countries of the world are keeping their fingers crossed to be the next lucky ones.

Beta Pokémon Unite: conditions to access the game

To have access to the Beta Pokémon Unite, you must reside in Canada and use an Android device. Good news for expatriates, you don't need to be a Canadian citizen! Moreover, there are other conditions to respect:

  • The beta tester must be at least 16 years old to participate.
  • The beta tester undertakes not to take any screenshots and not to stream his or her games. Taking photos or videos with a third-party device is also prohibited under penalty of punishment.

In addition, progress made during the Beta Pokémon Unite will count for nothing. Progress will be reset at the end of the beta, although games usually reward beta testers in some way. If you are happy with these conditions, all you have to do is go to Google Play to pre-register.

Fans are getting impatient

No Pokemon Unite release during Post Malone concert
Some were hoping for a surprise release of Pokémon Unite on 27 February...

While some fans, especially Canadians, are pleased with this news, others are getting impatient. The project was announced last June and many were hoping to play the game soon. An unfounded but lively rumour among the community predicted a release for Pokémon Day (February 27th)... Therefore, we will have to make do with the virtual concert with Post Malone to celebrate the little monsters' birthday.
