A 3rd beta for Genshin Impact on mobile

Genshin Impact opens its doors again for a third mobile beta in July. Developed by the Chinese studio miHoYo, this RPG will be available on IOS, Android, PC and Playstation in cross-platform. The Switch version is also in the pipeline and should be released with a small additional delay.

With two initial closed beta's in May 2019 and May 2020, one would have thought that the studio would then launch fully into the water. But Hugh Tsai, the game's producer who had already addressed the community in May in a letter, revealed that there were still a few tweaks to be made before making the game available to all. He particularly targeted the cross-platform cooperative mode. Central to this open-world game that is played in teams, some elements remain to be optimised.

Moreover, according to the latest data, the game is playable in 12 different languages at the moment (including French). But only 3 languages are available for the game audio: Chinese, Japanese and Korean. It is possible that the studio will take a little more time to expand and diversify its offer.

How to take advantage of the beta of Genshin Impact ?

To take advantage of this third and final beta, all you have to do is register on the game's official website. Time is running out, as registration is open until 19 June! For those who are late, you will have to wait for the official release of the RPG.

Also, before you get too excited, you should check that your smartphone and its operating system support this game. On Android, you will need either a Snapdragon 865/855 Plus/855 or 845 processor or a Kirin 990or 980 chip. For iOS, the list is long and most recent models (smartphones and tablets) will do.

Beta testers of this open world, inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, will have to be prepared to start from scratch though. Progressions will not be saved for the actual release of the game. Although, obviously, they will surely receive small perks and exclusive content, as well as having enjoyed the game in preview.
