The tense situation between China and India is not doing the esportPUBG Mobilescene any good. The two Asian neighbours are currently in open conflict . Following territorial disputes, the two countries accuse each other of military operations along the border. To indirectly attack China, the Indian government has banned several applications developed by Chinese companies. The game PUBG Mobile, run by Tencent , is among the long list. In response, the Chinese company has banned IndianPro Leagueteams. This decision penalises the players, the structures, but also the interest of the competition. As many as 17teams have been sidelined.
Tencent did not want to find a solution or compromise and therefore opted for a strict and inflexibleposition.

This is a hard blow for the players. Many have shared their dismay on the internet, highlighting a certain injustice. After a year of training and hard work, it is hard to accept that they will be deprived of competition for non-sporting reasons. As collateral victims, the players can only witness this trade war. While India has more than 200 million downloads of PUBG Mobile, its government has no intention of continuing to line the pockets of its neighbour.
The future of TSM-Entity is in danger.
No amicable solution
The ban appears quite strict. Since theoretically, Indian players could have travelled abroad to play the competition which is online anyway. But Tencent did not want to explore this possibility and specified that Indians were banned, regardless of the country in which they would physically be. Even if the health situation constrains travel and travel abroad should be limited, the excuse of the coronavirus should not be used.
To replace the 17 teams from India that are missing, the PUBG Mobile tournament will bring in other teams from the rest of the region. One man's misfortune can make another man's happiness, and several Pakistani teams are expected to make it to the PUBG Mobile Pro League.
