How do I add friends to Mario Kart Tour ?
If you have just started the game, you will not have immediate access to all the game's menus. This is the case for the "Friends" tab. To access it, you will have to complete the first cup of the game (the Peach Cup), i.e. the first 3 races. Once you have completed these races, the "Friends" feature and other menu items will be unlocked.
Having friends is very useful for some of the challenges proposed by Nintendo! Indeed, some challenges require 3 to 5 friends.
How do I add a friend code?
To add a friend, the procedure is very simple. But you will need his code.
- Click on the bottom right of the screen, in the "Menu".
- Click on the orange "Friends" icon.
- You will arrive at the "Friend Ranking" screen (normally you should only see yourself at this point).
- Click on "Send a friend request".
- In the "Enter player ID" field, you must enter the 12-digit player code.
That's it! If the code you found or were given is valid, then you can look forward to having a new friend on your list.
How to find your own friend code?
Well, it's extremely simple, because it's in exactly the same place. If you hadn't noticed, I'd rather tell you. But sometimes it can be confusing, because it is not indicated as "Friend Code", but as "Your ID". You can recognise it by its shape, it is composed of 12 digits separated in 3 series of 4 digits.

How to play multiplayer at Mario Kart Tour ?
Now that you've made new friends at Mario Kart Tour, it's time to play multiplayer! Let's welcome this mode that took a long time to arrive on the game and enjoy it. Even if the game is still in the top of the download charts on Android and iOS, some of your friends will momentarily stop playing. Nothing like that to get you in trouble and not have anyone to make the cuts with.
To play multiplayer at Mario Kart Tour, click on the "Multiplayer" icon at the bottom left of the main screen. For this option to work, you need to have enabled location in your smartphone settings.
Then click on "Create a private group". This will take you to the race settings. Determine the number of teams (0, 2, 3 or 4), the vehicle category (50, 100 or 150 cc), the number of object slots and the participation rules. Click on OK.
A window will open confirming the creation of your private group. An 8-digit number is then automatically generated. All you have to do is share it with your friends (by SMS, Discord, WhatsApp, Messenger, or whatever you want!). This way, all the people who received your group code will be able to join your private multiplayer game! Note: only 8 players in total can play in multiplayer.

If, on the other hand, one of your friends has sent you a group code to participate in a tournament (and you are not the creator of the group), click on "Group Code" at the bottom right (still in the Multiplayer menu). Type in the 8 digits you just received. Here we go!

This solution will allow the game to detect all your friends who also play the game and to propose you to invite them.
