To dominate the battle arena in Supercell's card game, you need to upgrade the cards you own and unlock new ones. And to do this, you will need to open Clash Royale chests. How to get chests?

If you are new to the game, the easiest way to get a Clash Royale chest is to take advantage of the free chest, available every 4 hours.

Once you have created your first deck, head to the battle arena. When you win a battle, you get a chest as a reward. The rarity of a Clash Royale chest has a direct influence on the time it takes to open it. For example, a Silver chest will take only 3 hours to open, while a Magical chest will take 12 hours.

Be careful, because you can only open one chest at a time and you only have 4 slots available. So be smart and optimise their opening. However, if you lack patience and want to open Clash Royale chests now, you can buy them with gems in the shop.

Clash Royale chest types

Not all chests are created equal in Clash Royale. There are several types and each one has its own specificities.

Among the chests won after a victory are, in order of rarity, the Silver Chest, the Golden Chest, the Giant Chest and the Magical Chest. These different rewards are unlocked in cycles of 240, the overwhelming majority of which are Silver Chests.

With the free version of the Royal Pass, there are more than 20 levels where you can obtain a Clash Royale chest by collecting a set number of crowns. The crown chests contain double the rewards of a Golden Chest.

Epic chests contain 10 epic cards. They are available in the shop, but can also be won after a battle if you have more than 1000 trophies and a lot of luck.

Like the Epic Chest, the Clash Royale Legendary Chest can be purchased in the shop. If you have more than 2,000 trophies, you have a very small chance of winning it as a reward after a victory. It offers only one card, of the highest rarity level.

Finally, 3 royal chests can be purchased with gems. The Lightning Chest allows you to change cards up to 3 times, the Fortune Chest contains at least two of the four cards shown, while the King's Chest contains an astronomical amount of cards as well as a Legendary card from arena 7 onwards.
