A brand new mobile game has just been announced! Following on from the augmented reality game, Pokémon GO, Niantic is back with a new game in the Transformers universe. TRANSFORMERS: Heavy Metal, a game by Niantic, Hasbro and Takara Tomy, announced!

The information has just been released! A new game, in the style of Pokémon GO, will be released very soon! This is an announcement made by the giant Niantic, to whom we owe the game Pokémon in augmented reality. This time, Niantic is partnering with Hasbro (Magic: The Gathering Arena) and Takara Tomy (Transformers toy maker), so it's going to be a blast!

"Transformers is the perfect franchise for augmented reality. Fighting and interacting with giant robots in the real world is an incredible experience. We want to live up to the high expectations of Transformers fans around the world and deliver a game unlike anything they've experienced before," said John Hanke, CEO of Niantic.

Indeed, the game will propel you into the Transformers universe, all with an augmented reality system. Players will be able to join the Guardian Network, a group of humans andAutobots fighting a war against the Descepticons! The player will take on the role of a Guardian and will have to discover hidden regions on Earth. The goal is to find lots of resources and fight the Decepticons in turn-based battles ! The game will be available in single and multiplayer.

Optimus Prime and Bumblebee are coming IRL through the 3D platform Niantic Lightship. At this time, no date is available for the game's release on mobile. However, Niantic has stated that the game will be released in late 2021 and that a pre-launch campaign is underway!
