The famous yellow and square sea sponge has been a favourite of many children. Now SpongeBob needs your help to save Bikini Bottom! Will you answer the call? This SpongeBob mobile remake should bring back some sweet memories. Originally released in 2003 for PS2, Xbox and GameCube, the game took its time to be brought to mobile. The graphics have been revisited and the rendering looks pretty cool if the trailer is anything to go by.
Available on both Android and iOS, you'll have to spend the hefty sum of 9.99 euros to get access to SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated does not offer anything very revolutionary, but the game should still find its audience without any problem. Fans of the cartoon will surely be tempted to find and embody the various characters from the work. Whether it's Bob, Patrick the starfish or Sandy the squirrel, they should all make you feel nostalgic.
What's more, this SpongeBob Mobile is just as complete as the original game. It offers an adventure full of twists and turns where various obstacles await you. Whether it's a puzzle game, a platform game or a boss battle, the player gets his money's worth.
HandyGames is in charge of the mobile port. The development studio has already proven itself by being behind the mobile versions of Police, Through the Darkest of Times and Battle Chasers: Nightwar. We can therefore trust them to SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom. Great efforts have been made on the graphics which do not look old at all. In addition, players will find some exclusive content such as an epic boss battle that was not present in the original version.
