The appetite of development studio Netmarble knows no bounds. Already at the head of a gigantic empire of mobile games including The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross, MARVEL Future Fight and A3: STILL ALIVE, the Korean giant is working on a new project called Blade & Soul Revolution. Initially, this MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) was released as a PC game in 2012. Its community is expected to continue to grow now that the mobile version of the game will soon be released. There is no official release date yet, but pre-registration opens on 28 January.
The game will be free-to-play and pre-registering does not cost a cent. It's a good way to be kept informed of the latest developments and to receive loyalty gifts. 😎
Blade & Soul Revolution: open world and real-time combat
Blade & Soul Revolution will not be on mobile exactly like the PC version. However, there should be some big similarities. First of all, both versions will share the same fantasy universe and offer a rich adventure in an open world. You should have the possibility to play as 4 races (Jin, Gon, Yun or Lyn). This will not only influence the appearance of your avatar but also its characteristics and skills. According to the teaser, the graphics are well done and the 3D rendering is amazing... It remains to be seen if the game will be of the same quality!
Blade & Soul Revolution will explore the game's fantasy world from top to bottom. But above all, it will feature epic real-time combat. Fans of martial arts should be able to enjoy the game, especially Qinggong enthusiasts. They will have the opportunity to set up combos as beautiful as deadly. In PvE as in PvP, it's up to you to get the best of your opponents.
A community in expectation
The upcoming release of Blade & Soul Revolution should have many players salivating. Members of the Blade & Soul community, but also the big open world mobile RPG players. But we have to hope that Netmarble will give a little more information quickly so that the hype doesn't die down. Very few details are known at the moment and it is difficult to assess the game's potential. We don't know yet if there will be a specific scenario, if the whole universe will be explorable or in which era the story takes place.
Another question concerns the interface and the handling of the game. On a PC, combos and objects are easy to handle with a keyboard and a mouse... But with a touch screen, it's a whole different challenge!
