What is a jumping game on mobile?
A jumping game on Android and iOS is very similar to a tap game or arcade game, in that you have to make a character jump (usually using a single finger) to reach platforms, collect objects and avoid enemies.
A jumping game will put your sense of timing to the test, as you have to find the right moment to jump to the right place.

Jumping is obviously what characterises jumping games. But there are plenty of other mechanics!
- Collectibles: jumping games on mobiles feature collectibles throughout the different levels. In Poinpy, for example, you have to collect fruit.
- Obstacles: these are generally static and have to be avoided using your reflexes, as in Geometry Dash.
- Power-ups : as you progress through a jumping game, you'll get upgrades that give you bonuses.
