What are TCGs on Android and iOS?
Mobile TCGs (Trading Card Games) or CCG (Collectible Card Games) are a sub-category of card games. The principle is simple: you collect cards that you can buy with in-game currency or real money, or as rewards, and then create a deck to compete against other players.
JCCs on Android and iOS should not be confused with deckbuilding-style card games: in JCCs, deck building takes place outside the game. One of the most popular CCGs is Marvel Snap.
Features of mobile TCG
In addition to collecting and deckbuilding, Android and iOS TCGs offer a number of other features:
- Synergy between cards: in a TCG, cards can perform combos with each other. You'll need to consider these synergies and put in place a good strategy to beat your opponents.
- The evolution of the meta: the meta is constantly evolving as new cards come into play. Players will need to keep abreast of these developments if they hope to achieve a high ranking on the leaderboard.
- The competitive aspect: although most mobile TCGs can offer story modes, most of them are competitive and feature ranked games or tournaments.
