Riptide GP2 review: Our opinion about this mobile game

Riptide GP2 is a water jet racing game. All you have to do is win the various races available to you. In Riptide GP2, you'll have dozens of different circuits to choose from, each with its own bends, straights and so on.

How do you play Riptide GP2? The game offers you several ways of doing so, so you can access the touch screen to control your waterjet, or with a keyboard. Let's face it, the touch screen system is very intuitive but sometimes suffers from inherent response problems. You also have the option of braking with two buttons located on the bottom left and right of your screen. You can learn new tricks as you race. It's worth noting that performing tricks will allow you to fill up your boost gauge, enabling you to overtake your rivals at breakneck speed.

Lifespan

When we tested Riptide GP2, we tried to finish as many races as possible. As a result, the game features a career mode consisting of 8 races. In general, you'll be able to unlock races according to your results, which means that you'll get them by achieving a certain score (in this case, a score made up of stars corresponding to objectives to be reached). However, what makes the game long is the variety of race types. There are races against the clock, elimination races and classic races where you have to finish first.

My opinion

Riptide GP2 is a bit pricey at just €2, but it's sure to keep you busy for a long time if you're a racing game fanatic. Fun and entertaining, it's well worth the price if you play it regularly, otherwise you'll have to pass.
