The Russian publisher my. com is starting to make a name for itself in the world of video games. Whether it's for its MMORPG releases on PC(Skyforge in 2015 or Revelation Online in 2017) or its mobile games, it has been a success almost every time. Following our test, we analyze today Hustle Castle to give our opinion on this game, available on Android, IOS and also on PC with an emulator.
The scenario of Hustle Castle is very simple. The lord of the abyss has kidnapped the king of your world and his daughter, Princess Olivia. The problem for you is that the latter is your fiancée... You will have to do everything possible to save her.
Medieval Fallout Shelter
In Hustle Castle, your first mission to retrieve your in-laws' castle is a quick one, and you'll soon realise that in addition to going into battle, you'll have to rebuild the building.
From the refectory to the training rooms and the essential throne room, those familiar with Fallout Shelter or Tiny Tower will be on familiar ground. You will have to build and improve these rooms in order to expand your castle.
Each room you build will have a purpose. The refectory will allow your inhabitants to create food (a resource used to start battles), in the treasury, your troops will work to creategold (indispensable for the creation of new rooms), etc. Each room can be upgraded to increase its capacities. Each room can be upgraded to increase its capacity.
All available creations and upgrades depend on the level of your throne room. The throne room is the central room of your castle and dictates your level and construction possibilities.
In addition to rebuilding your castle, you will have to take care of your inhabitants. Indeed, their mood directly influences your resource bonuses, so keeping them in a good mood is essential. In addition, you can breed your best inhabitants to get new ones.
Unbalanced PvP?
In addition to rebuilding your castle, your adventures will take you to the four corners of the Hustle Castle world toeliminate your enemies and get closer to Princess Olivia. Each stage of this journey corresponds to a more or less difficult PvE battle. The battles are in automatic mode but still allow you to intervene thanks to the spells you have created.
When you defeat an opposing team, you will be rewarded with a chest and other well-deserved rewards (weapons, armour or resources). Once again, Hustle Castle is very classic in its approach and can sometimes be frustrating as your interventions in combat are minimal.
Our review of Hustle Castle is unfortunately tarnished by the PvP side of the game. Indeed, whether it is via the arena or clan battles, you will have many opportunities to face opponents from all over the world. Once again, you sometimes get frustrated when weaker opponents crush you.
The joys of Pay-to-Win are indeed represented in Hustle Castle. For a fee, you will be able to greatly accelerate your builds and receive numerous rewards. In a game in which the equipment of your fighters is so important, it seems that victory is much easier for players who have spent money.
Family Castle
Fans of Seth MacFarlane (creator of Family Guy and American Dad) will quickly recognise the game's artistic direction. Indeed, using the features of well-known characters, the game hasa very pleasant visual. Better still, the humorous dialogue is all the more reminiscent of MacFarlane's characters.
Good ideas spoiled by a too present Pay-to-Win aspect
In summary, our opinion of Hustle Castle is quite good. Fallout Shelter-like, very pleasant in PvE due to its very successful artistic direction, the humour of its universe and the enormous possibilities of customizing your troops, the game loses its attractiveness in PvP due to its strongly present Pay-to-Win system, which is frustrating for players.
Positive points
Artistic direction (excellent graphics and music).
